Shopping Carts Don’t Belong in the Parking Lot

Why do people insist on leaving their shopping cart parked in a parking spot?  We have all gotten a scratch or ding from someone else swinging their car door wide open or finding a shopping cart up against the car.

Why not walk the few feet to the shopping cart caddy and make sure the cart does not roll around the parking lot until it hits someone’s car.

A metal shopping cart traveling at a very slow rolling speed is enough to scratch or dent a car.

Lets break this bad habit which has been perpetuating itself within our society.  Hopefully someone will see you putting the cart away and do the same thing.

Good karma for everyone.

I myself have always placed shopping carts in their secured stations. ..yet others look at me, in action, as if I were doing something illegal. I have scolded shoppers for leaving their cart right in front of, or next to another’s car. I actually yell at lazy people who do this when they are parked right next to a cart station, yet they leave their cart on the other side of their car. I can understand elders needing to leave the cart somewhere closer, but anyone of the age of 50 or younger, who is not disabled, has no excuse. The stores should impliment the 25 cent slot into each cart as it’s done in European regions that way people attach their cart to another in order to get their 25 cents back. Or have parking lot security ticket them for not placing the cart to the proper station.
